Though originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, L'aura began her intensive study of the healing arts three decades ago at The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. There, she focused on massage therapy and bodywork. As her passion for energy and healing work deepened, she completed additional certifications in Hypnotherapy and Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) before returning to her Hawaiian roots to add certifications in the Hawaiian traditional healing modalities of Huna and Ho'oponopono. A dedicated lifelong student and practitioner, she has been influenced by and draws from the works of many powerful personal teachers including Kahuna Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, Ihaleakala Hew Len Ph.D., Kahuna Harry Uhane Jim, Charles Brown, Serge Kahili King Ph.D., Richard Gorden, and Gary De Rodriguez. L'aura credits her success to her close intuitive relationship with her own guides and precious companions- the "Grandmothers and Grandfathers"- who have helped her develop her unique Ho'oponopono-based, solution oriented approach to emotional and spiritual healing and advancement.
In June 2012, L'aura's "Grandmothers and Grandfathers" instructed her to shut down her thriving healing practice. She followed their guidance without question, and a few weeks later she experienced a stroke. This experience broke open her emotional body. Two years later, L'aura was guided to return to her healing practice. She was drawn to "The Source" healing center to work in sacred community with other like-minded healers. Since reopening her practice in June 2014, she has bounced back with a new energy and insight, translating the lessons from her stroke into her healing work. She is grateful for all aspects of this journey, including the people who have helped her recover and discover a renewed passion for her work.
Aloha- my life's breath goes with you!
